Ingredients

  • 1 lb tofu
  • ~1 lb meat (pork/chicken both good)
  • Cornstarch
  • Oyster sauce
  • Bean sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Sugar
  • Thai chilies
  • Garlic
  • Green onion
  • Sesame oil

Directions

  1. Mince meat
  2. Add minced meat, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 2 tbsp water to bowl. Mix. Let marinate 5 mins.
  3. Cube tofu
  4. Chop >2 garlic cloves, >2 chilies, green onion
  5. In cup, mix 2 tbsp water and 1 tbsp cornstarch
  6. Add oil to pan. Heat. Add garlic and chilies, toss for 30 seconds. Add meat. Cook till start to brown.
  7. Add 1 tbsp bean sauce, 1 cup water, 1 tsp sugar, pinch salt, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, dash of dark soy sauce.
  8. Add tofu, stir, let sit for ~ 3 mins.
  9. Stir in cornstarch and water mixture, stir and heat till ready.
  10. Dash sesame oil, serve with green onion garnish.
